we’ve stripped, washed, stained, and shellacked the living and dining room windowframes, and they’re just about done and ready for display!
i’m finishing up the side pieces right now — the parts we had to remove to repair the ropes.
the clean one here is ready for dark-walnut stain and lemon-yellow shellac. the dirty one is about to feel the power of lacquer thinner, denatured alcohol, and elbow grease.
